health scare

Just got my daily dose of CNSnews.com. Just reading the headlines is scary enough, but then I have to go and read some of the articles.

The first headline was about a huge tax increase announced by everybody's favorite democrat crook, Chuckie Rangle of NY. It was late Friday afternoon, after everyone was getting ready to go home...those who still had jobs, that is.

The article said the dems planned to increase the income taxes by some $540 billion. Now, that's just what they admit to. They also plan to let the Bush tax cuts expire, which will be another automatic tax increase. But not to worry.

If you make less than $200,000 a year, individual or small business, you wont have to pay more taxes. Right. They're going to call the new tax a surtax, so it's not really like a tax. And, for some, it will only be 1 percent. But for those working really hard, it can reach 1.5%. Now, that's today...or at least last Friday. By the time this gets through the house, and HO signs it, it's anybody's guess as to the amount of the tax. And, by the way, this is to help pay for HO's health care...or rather, our health care. $540 billion over ten years. Sounds cheap, huh?
If we're quiet enough to let that pass, there's no way $540 billion will ever pay for it.

Another headline said it was difficult for the GAO to track jobs created or saved, as well as where the stimulus money that has been spent, was spent. Although some underlings have assured us that methodologies can be devised to track the money and jobs created, it will take an accurate auditing of various agencies in the many states receiving the funds. And, this would be done by another government agency, and you know how great they are.

Now there was a moment of levity in the article. One of the headlines actually suggested that what's her face, you know the Speaker, would take the time to read the entire health bill before bringing it to a vote. And, besides reading it, she vowed ample time for for the public to review the bill. Yeah, like they ever listen to the public. Well, they did a few years ago. I guess if we're loud enough, they'll listen. They hear better right around election time.

Remember that in 2010.

Vote for new blood.

Later.
