Flyovers and health care

In my last post, I mentioned the cancellation of the annual flyover at the "God and Country Rally"
in, I believe it was Napa, ID. I also said I would check to see if my brother-in-law was still involved in doing flyovers. I checked. He is. This is a picture of his crew, maybe at Seattle--I think I espied the needle in one of the pictures. At any rate, he's flying lead in the 737. The Air Force refers to it as the T-43. He started life flying for SAC in the B-52. Pretty cool.

The health care portion of this little post is just to pass on a note I saw on youtube.com. I didn't find it. It was passed to me, with the request that I do the same. So, for those of you passing by here, this is the link:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q9GMKK_fWKg. It's John Stossell giving HO's healthscare plan what-for.

I hope enough of us continue watching and listening and sharing what we hear, see, and learn. It is really time to start cleaning house--literally, and send these arrogant SOBs home. Pardon my Spanish...but when they start remembering why they're there, who sent them, and why we sent them--maybe I'll start showing a little respect again. We'll see.

I saw in an article by Rowan Scarborough, on HumanEventsOnline.com, that David Axelrod, HO's chief White House advisor, will be making a cool $3 million over the next five years. Seems it will come in installments from a buyout of sorts with AKP&D Message and Media, and Ask Public Strategies. Mr. Scarborough went on to say, in his article : "The bottom line: Axelrod is essentially on his old firms' payrolls as he sits in the Oval Office as the closest confidant to the president. Advocacy groups know that when they are hiring AKP or Ask Public they are helping those companies stay profitable and make good on the $3 million. "

I wonder how many taxes he'll be paying on that money. I haven't heard anything about all the tax cheats added to HO's close adviser groups lately. Seems all the news is taken up trashing Joe the Plumber, and Sarah Palin. Speaking of Sarah, I hope she's doing well and enjoying a little peace as a "private citizen."

I couldn't end this without remembering one of my favorite conservatives--Robert Novak, who as you know, passed away this week, after a battle with cancer. I wonder how long he would have lasted under HObamaScare. I first became aware of Mr. Novak when he was a regular on the McLaughlin Group, a program I saw on PBS...back when we didn't have cable and a thousand channels. Two strong signals--NBC and CBS, plus what was usually a weak and hard to find signal from ABC. PBS provided an occasional change, and I still enjoy the Brit-coms. Although Bob was credited (if that's the right word) with 'outing' Valerie Plame. Seems to me, she had been out for years. Oh, well.

Come on 2010.
