HO's At it again

I have more Jewish friends, than black friends...and HO certainly isn't one.

I was unaware of Mary Robinson, till I saw an article on Newsmax.com about the fact that HO is planning to award her the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Very interesting article, and I recommend it to all. Basically, it went into the background of Ms. Robinson, and how she has been a human rights advocate, not to mention president of Ireland.

So, not only is HO going around the world apologizing for the US, (he's in Mexico this weekend, meeting with some good friends of his)he is now giving an award to someone who led a conference that the US walked out of.

According to the Newsmax.com article, Robinson was the secretary general of the 2001 Conference against "Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance in Durban, South Africa."

Apparently, she was one of the people responsible for the conference turning into an Israel-bash.

Matt Brooks, Executive Director of the Republican Jewish Coalition is, of course, against Robinson receiving the award, with good reason. Aside from the obvious, he said "awarding the Medal of Freedom to Mary Robinson does great dishonor to the many outstanding men and women who have received it in the past."

Even Colin Powell, at the time of the conference spoke out against the anti-Israeli stance it presented. The Newsmax.com article ended by noting that the RJC statement pointed out: "that in April 2002, Robinson's U.N. commission voted to condone suicide bombings as a legitimate means to establish a Palestinian state."

Changing the subject, I wonder if HO is in Mexico trying to get advice on getting his health care takeover passed? Wouldn't be surprised.

I personally haven't been accosted by any ACORN goons or anyone from the which ever union it is raising hell at some of the townhall meetings. I guess there's still time.
