Save us from congress and HO

Mostly, over the weekend, I did my best to avoid all the Kennedy crappola. Just because he was capable of stabbing you in the back while he smiled and shook your hand, doesn't make him any kind of hero to me. I almost couldn't believe it today, when I heard on Rush's show, that they had his youngest relative (female) reading something at the service, invoking the Lord to grant certain favors to the healthcare
bill...I didn't hear all of the clip, but enough to turn my stomach.

And, if that weren't enough, they're going after the CIA again. Oh, and all the while, HO is vacationing in the Vineyard. Can you believe that? Of course, he can vacation where ever he pleases, but does he have to pick the most expensive, whitest place he can find? I guess I should be glad he's spending our money over here, instead of across the pond. Probably saves us a dime or two, overall. I guess he wanted to go somewhere he could take the whole family.

You've probably heard by now, that he wants to be able to shut down the internet, for security purposes. I'm sure that security would be securing the re-election of himself and his cronies to office. From what I've read, they haven't had great success with their own security...why should we let them have anything whatsoever to do with the internet or ours. Remember the famous CARS program. Apparently, there was a caveat that let them take over anyone's computer who had the audacity to go to the website for information. They would take over control of your computer.

I don't remember what brought this on, but today, I think it was Glen Beck, he played an excerpt from when the black congressional caucus went to Cuba to meet with Fidel. (BTW, is there a White Congressional Caucus?)You remember? They thought Castro was such a great guy...humanitarian and gentleman, not to mention brilliant and caring. Beck played an interview with some black female, who said the people in Cuba had it great...as good as people in her district,Glen chimed in. I don't remember her name, but then he played the interview with Bob Rush. Wow. I really wondered how that gem ever got elected, but then I realized it was by a constituency of his peers. That's actually scary. He may be the brightest of them all.
But then I remember Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Pelosi, Reid, and so I have to think he's just another one of he boys.

We really, really need to change the guard, starting in 2010. If we don't, it may be too late by 2012.

Come on 2010.

PS: I wonder if HO finished reading "The Post American World", written by one of his muslim buddies.

Saint Ted

Just wanted to post a quick note on the passing of Kennedy. If you're already tired of all the pundits turning him into some kind of saint, and the dems trying to use the pitiful excuse of his death to force through the healthScare bill, head over to newsmax.com and read their article titled "Chappaquiddick Mars Kennedy Legacy."

Read on into it. You'll find more of what you remember. I didn't need it to make me wonder why the people of MA kept sending him back to DC, but it did confirm my belief that we need to do a wholesale revamp of Washington.

Remember, in the past few days, he had been trying to change (again) the way MA replaces a lost senator. I'm surprised he didn't get away with it.

Come on 2010.

Medical side of Health care reform

I received the following in my e-mail. It was sent by a friend, and since it is so close to home, literally, Atlanta, I decided to post it here. Fact is, if it had been written by a doctor in Fairbanks, AK, I'd want to post it.

Before I get to that, since I'm here, I know you've all heard HO is in Martha's Vineyard, on vacation. Like they say, there goes the neighborhood. Seems they're hitting all the high spots, except church. Have they picked one yet? Or better yet, have they been to church since taking the oath to uphold and protect the Constitution?

I did hear that the recession is over. I was really glad to hear that this morning. I'm sure some of my coffee shop breakfast buddies will be glad to hear it also. And I was almost overcome with joy when I heard Bernanke was going to get four more years, since he did such a good job of guiding us out of the recession...wow!

I feel really bad, because I had not even noticed the recession was over. I guess it was all the success of the CARS program. Maybe I should have bought one while I had the chance. Had I known the recession was ending, I probably would have.

But, back to Dr. Pollard's letter. It includes his contact info, which was on the one I received, so I guess it's okay to pass it on. While I'm on the subject of doctors, I used to think my family physician was such a rebel for not belonging to the AMA. Well, apparently he has lots of company, as only about 17% of MDs belong. Oh, well, he's still pretty cool, except he's a flaming liberal. He's pretty much anti-gun, too, except for once. He was telling me when he lived in this particular place, here in town, someone was trying to break into his house, and he found himself wishing his neighbor was home. His neighbor was on the other side of the gun issue, and at that moment, my doctor friend wished he had access to his neighbor's help. Something scared off the intruder, but one can't always count on that happening. Here's Dr. Pollard's letter:

By Zane F Pollard, MD

I have been sitting quietly on the sidelines watching all of this national
debate on healthcare. It is time for me to bring some clarity to the table
by explaining many of the problems from the perspective of a doctor.

First off the government has involved very few of us physicians in the
healthcare debate. While the American Medical Association has come out in
favor of the plan, it is vital to remember that the AMA only represents 17%
of the American physician workforce.

I have taken care of Medicaid patients for 35 years while representing the
only pediatric ophthalmology group left in Atlanta, Georgia that accepts
Medicaid.

For example, in the past 6 months I have cared for three young children on
Medicaid who had corneal ulcers. This is a potentially blinding situation
because if the cornea perforates from the infection, almost surely blindness
will occur. In all three cases the antibiotic needed for the eradication of
the infection was not on the approved Medicaid list.

Each time I was told to fax Medicaid for the approval forms, which I did.
Within 48 hours the form came back to me which was sent in immediately via
fax, and I was told that I would have my answer in 10 days. Of course by
then each child would have been blind in the eye.

Each time the request came back denied. All three times I personally
provided the antibiotic for each patient which was not on the Medicaid
approved list.

Get the point -- rationing of care.

Over the past 35 years I have cared for over 1000 children born with
congenital cataracts. In older children and in adults the vision is
rehabilitated with an intraocular lens. In newborns we use contact lenses
which are very expensive. It takes Medicaid over one year to approve a
contact lens post cataract surgery. By that time a successful anatomical
operation is wasted as the child will be close to blind from a lack of
focusing for so long a period of time.

Again, extreme rationing. Solution: I have a foundation here in Atlanta
supported 100% by private funds which supplies all of these contact lenses
for my Medicaid and illegal immigrants children for free. Again, waiting
for the government would be disastrous.

Last week I had a lady bring her child to me. They are Americans but live
in Sweden, as the father has a job with a big corporation. The child had the
onset of double vision 3 months ago and has been unable to function normally
because of this. They are people of means but are waiting 8 months to see
the ophthalmologist in Sweden. Then if the child needed surgery they would
be put on a 6 month waiting list. She called me and I saw her that day. It
turned out that the child had accommodative esotropia (crossing of the eyes
treated with glasses that correct for farsightedness) and responded to
glasses within 4 days, so no surgery was needed. Again, rationing of care.

Last month I operated on a 70 year old lady with double vision present for 3
years. She responded quite nicely to her surgery and now is symptom free. I
also operated on a 69 year old judge with vertical double vision. His
surgery went very well and now he is happy as a lark. I have been told --
but of course there is no healthcare bill that has been passed yet -- that
these 2 people because of their age would have been denied surgery and
just told to wear a patch over one eye to alleviate the symptoms of double
vision. Obviously cheaper than surgery.

I spent two years in the US Navy during the Viet Nam war and was well
treated by the military. There was tremendous rationing of care and we were
told specifically what things the military personnel and their dependents
could have and which things they could not have. While I was in Viet Nam, my
wife Nancy got sick and got essentially no care at the Naval Hospital in
Oakland, California. She went home and went to her family's private
internist in Beverly Hills. While it was expensive, she received an
immediate work up. Again rationing of care.

For those of you who are over 65, this bill in its present form might be
lethal for you. People in England over 59 cannot receive stents for their
coronary arteries. The government wants to mimic the British plan. For
those of you younger, it will still mean restriction of the care that you
and your children receive.

While 99% of physicians went into medicine because of the love of medicine
and the challenge of helping our fellow man, economics are still important.
My rent goes up 2% each year and the salaries of my employees go up 2% each
year. Twenty years ago, ophthalmologists were paid $1800 for a cataract
surgery and today $500. This is a 73% decrease in our fees. I do not know
of many jobs in America that have seen this sort of lowering of fees.

But there is more to the story than just the lower fees. When I came to
Atlanta, there was a well known ophthalmologist that charged $2500 for a
cataract surgery as he felt the was the best. He had a terrific reputation
and in fact I had my mother's bilateral cataracts operated on by him with
a wonderful result. She is now 94 and has 20/20 vision in both eyes. People
would pay his $2500 fee.

However, then the government came in and said that any doctor that does
Medicare work cannot accept more than the going rate (now $500) or he or she
would be severely fined. This put an end to his charging $2500. The
government said it was illegal to accept more than the government-allowed
rate. What I am driving at is that those of you well off will NOT be able
to go to the head of the line under this new healthcare plan, just because
you have money, as no physician will be willing to go against the law to
treat you.

I am a pediatric ophthalmologist and trained for 10 years post-college to
become a pediatric ophthalmologist (add two years of my service in the
Navy and that comes to 12 years).A neurosurgeon spends 14 years post
-college, and if he or she has to do the military that would be 16 years. I
am not entitled to make what a neurosurgeon makes, but the new plan calls
for all physicians to make the same amount of payment. I assure you that
medical students will not go into neurosurgery and we will have a tremendous
shortage of neurosurgeons. Already, the top neurosurgeon at my hospital
who is in good health and only 52 years old has just quit because he can't
stand working with the government anymore. Forty-nine percent of children
under the age of 16 in the state of Georgia are on Medicaid, so he felt he
just could not stand working with the bureaucracy anymore.

We are being lied to about the uninsured. They are getting care. I operate
on at least 2 illegal immigrants each month who pay me nothing, and the
children's hospital at which I operate charges them nothing also. This is
true not only of Atlanta, but of every community in America.

The bottom line is that I urge all of you to contact your congresswomen and
congressmen and senators to defeat this bill. I promise you that you will
not like rationing of your own health.

Furthermore, how can you trust a physician that works under these conditions
knowing that he is controlled by the state. I certainly could not trust any
doctor that would work under these draconian conditions.

One last thing: with this new healthcare plan there will be a tremendous
shortage of physicians. It has been estimated that approximately 5% of the
current physician work force will quit under this new system. Also it is
estimated that another 5% shortage will occur because of the decreased
number of men and women wanting to go into medicine. At the present time the
US government has mandated gender equity in admissions to medical schools.
That means that for the past 15 years somewhere between 49 and 51% of
each entering class are females. This is true of private schools also,
because all private schools receive federal funding.

The average career of a woman in medicine now is only 8-10 years and the
average work week for a female in medicine is only 3-4 days. I have now
trained 35 fellows in pediatric ophthalmology. Hands down the best was a
female that I trained 4 years ago -- she was head and heels above all
others I have trained. She now practices only 3 days a week.

That's all, folks. But it gives another great reason for cleaning house of every possible senator and representative we can when 2010 rolls around. Please help keep the momentum rolling. We can't afford to forget.

Thanks for reading.

Hurry up, 2010.

PC across the pond leads to health issue

I was sent to the Times of London on line edition to check out the insanity of PC across the pond. The literariate over there, are coming up with words deemed unacceptable in spoken and written communications. Words such as Black Day, whiter-than-white, master bedroom, even ethnic minority. Fact is, I'll put a link to the site on my blog. That way, anyone interested, can hop over there and read everything for themselves. But, my visit to that site led me to the following.

After I read the article and some of the comments, (they sounded like some we would have written, and probably will be writing soon) I happened to see another headline referring to an article on care for surviving heart attack patients.

Apparently, the government promised about 7 years ago, to provide after-surgery care for the patients. Seems like it's only getting to about a third of the ones eligible. Here is a clip from the article by David Rose, health correspondent for the Times:

"Two thirds of heart-attack survivors are not getting promised follow-up advice and treatment that could help them to live longer, a charity’s report says today.

A national audit commissioned by the British Heart Foundation found that only 34 per cent of 83,500 heart attack victims took part in a cardiac rehabilitation programme after coming out of hospital.

The Government pledged to offer it to 85 per cent of heart patients by 2002 but seven years on, the audit for England, Wales and Northern Ireland, found that overall only 38 per cent of heart patients attended cardiac rehabilitation. The figure was only 30 per cent of those who underwent an angioplasty and 68 per cent for those who had heart bypass surgery.

A shortage of cardiac nurses and other therapists means that those who do receive the care get only one third of the recommended hours of physiotherapy. Women were found to be significantly underrepresented in the programme, accounting for only 28 per cent of those who received follow-up treatment."

This is just some of the things we have to look forward to if HObamaScare is passed. Of course, I sincerely hope it's not passed. Have you ever read any of the actual bill? I have. It's truly scary. It's not so hard to read. Well, yeah, it is. Even if you're just talking about reading what is presented.

Trouble is, on every page I've looked at, there are numerous references to other laws and bills of by-gone eras that one would have to research and read for a better (notice, I didn't say clear) understanding of HO 3200. I haven't actually been to any of the referred sites, but I'd bet my own money, if I had any left, that there would be further referrals in each of those.

Be on the look out for the Tea Party in DC. September 12 is what I've heard. Should be interesting.

Enjoy.

Flyovers and health care

In my last post, I mentioned the cancellation of the annual flyover at the "God and Country Rally"
in, I believe it was Napa, ID. I also said I would check to see if my brother-in-law was still involved in doing flyovers. I checked. He is. This is a picture of his crew, maybe at Seattle--I think I espied the needle in one of the pictures. At any rate, he's flying lead in the 737. The Air Force refers to it as the T-43. He started life flying for SAC in the B-52. Pretty cool.

The health care portion of this little post is just to pass on a note I saw on youtube.com. I didn't find it. It was passed to me, with the request that I do the same. So, for those of you passing by here, this is the link:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q9GMKK_fWKg. It's John Stossell giving HO's healthscare plan what-for.

I hope enough of us continue watching and listening and sharing what we hear, see, and learn. It is really time to start cleaning house--literally, and send these arrogant SOBs home. Pardon my Spanish...but when they start remembering why they're there, who sent them, and why we sent them--maybe I'll start showing a little respect again. We'll see.

I saw in an article by Rowan Scarborough, on HumanEventsOnline.com, that David Axelrod, HO's chief White House advisor, will be making a cool $3 million over the next five years. Seems it will come in installments from a buyout of sorts with AKP&D Message and Media, and Ask Public Strategies. Mr. Scarborough went on to say, in his article : "The bottom line: Axelrod is essentially on his old firms' payrolls as he sits in the Oval Office as the closest confidant to the president. Advocacy groups know that when they are hiring AKP or Ask Public they are helping those companies stay profitable and make good on the $3 million. "

I wonder how many taxes he'll be paying on that money. I haven't heard anything about all the tax cheats added to HO's close adviser groups lately. Seems all the news is taken up trashing Joe the Plumber, and Sarah Palin. Speaking of Sarah, I hope she's doing well and enjoying a little peace as a "private citizen."

I couldn't end this without remembering one of my favorite conservatives--Robert Novak, who as you know, passed away this week, after a battle with cancer. I wonder how long he would have lasted under HObamaScare. I first became aware of Mr. Novak when he was a regular on the McLaughlin Group, a program I saw on PBS...back when we didn't have cable and a thousand channels. Two strong signals--NBC and CBS, plus what was usually a weak and hard to find signal from ABC. PBS provided an occasional change, and I still enjoy the Brit-coms. Although Bob was credited (if that's the right word) with 'outing' Valerie Plame. Seems to me, she had been out for years. Oh, well.

Come on 2010.

No God & Country under this regime

Couldn't believe an e-mail I got from a friend last night. Apparently, a Fly-over, which has been going on for 42 years, wasn't allowed this year, under the HO's thumb.

Here's a link to the report by Fox on you-tube.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVxwb58XfZA

Talk about audacity and arrogance...this is the epitome. We can't change houses too soon. I and everyone I know can't wait for 2010.

Conversation turned to, of all things, HObamaScare this morning, at the coffee shop.
Several of us, mostly known to each other, were going on about what we thought about that and HO as well. It wasn't pretty. We were pulling no punches, and there were even a couple of strangers chiming in as well.

We're normally a little more reserved around folks if we don't know them...not this morning. There was one little, I say little, he was maybe 220--quite chubby, but he kept his eyes on his computer screen and never said a word.

Finally, he got up and left. Never did say anything. I figure he e-mailed HO, and had us all added to another list before he left.;~). I'm pretty sure most of us are on a list somewhere.

Next...who is it HO is going to fund while they drill off shore for oil? Brazil? I think that's right. Doesn't matter. Where the hell is he getting the money? We sure don't have any.

Back to the fly-over. My brother-in-law used to lead a flight that did just that at events all around the country. He's retired Air Force, and flew the lead plane, what I know as a Boeing 737. The Air Force had a different designation, of course. He may still do that. Fact is, soon as I post this, I send a query over. This is a picture of the
737 we're all familiar with...not the one he flies.

BTW, it seems the fly-over was canceled because of its "Christian" nature.?! As I recall, this country was founded on Judeo-Christian principles. And, according to most polls I've seen lately, about 85% of us consider ourselves Christian.

It's time for HO to go.

Let's start the exodus in 2010 and build steam to 2012.

Speaking of steam, I'm steamed. But not so steamed that I forget this: I got a note from a friend inviting me to a Tea Party in Washington, on September 12. Sounds like fun, and I could probably mooch a place to stay off a relative, but that's also my anniversary, and while my bride is 100% for changing so-called leadership in DC, I think we'll have more fun being on our own.

If you haven't already heard about it, I'm sure you will. Check it out.

Later.

Seattle Bagged

Just read a report on CNSNews.com, where they've had a vote in Seattle on whether to approve a 20 cent charge on grocery bags. Apparently, early returns favor no fee, but since the ballots are all mailed in, it may take some time to count them all, and that brings me to another point...

Wonder where ACORN is in all this. If they can pad the polls, where most people have to show an ID, just think how well they should be able to do with a mail-in ballot. Seems to be made just for them...what do you think?

In other news, (sound familiar?) Barney Frank went off against his constituents, who were brazen enough to question him on HObamaScare. He even asked one lady what planet she lived on. Listening to Rush today, he commented on that saying something like Franks shouldn't question someone's planetary affiliation, since he's known to hang around Uranus a lot.

My own representatives had editorials in the local paper, side-by-side, giving their particular views. Mr. Kingston's sounded a lot like his townhall meet, at least the parts I was able to hear when I was there. They're both against the current bill, but both seem to be willing to vote for another version. It's my personal opinion that it needs to be dropped all together, and thought given to Tort reform. There was an article in the local paper today, against so-called 'tort reform'. It was written by the former head of the state association for trial lawyers;~))

Back to Seattle. Seems greenies think that if something like the bag tax can't pass in such an environmentally friendly place as Seattle, it won't have a prayer in other more sane communities...the latter being my description. Oh, and Seattle expected to raise about $10 million from that little fee. No wonder they wanted to tack it on.

Speaking of greenies. I was over at wordpress, and saw a blog about Burt Rutan, one of my heroes. At first, I thought OMG, say it isn't so. And it wasn't. Although he is probably one of the greenest around. BUT, he's no quack-come-lately, jump on the bandwagon lapdog.

BTW, he's an inventor, designer, aviator, dreamer. He builds composite aircraft that fly around the world non-stop without refueling. He drove an electric car for years, on a handful of gas...said it was one you plugged in at night, and had a range of about 80 miles. I will try to find the post and pull a link over here, so you can read it first hand. He went on to say the Prius is not a hybrid, because you don't plug it in. Apparently, his was recalled, I think by GM, (probably working too well) and destroyed. His house is built into the earth, and is more energy-efficient than Algore's mouth...well, of course...so's everything else...

I went looking for the article, but couldn't find it...I will, and I'll come back with the link.

I was invited to go to DC for a Tea Party in September...the 12th actually. Don't know if I'll be able to make it. Should be fun. I could visit relatives who live there...wonder how they vote.

If you get a chance, attend a local tea party. They're more important. They're your reps, and maybe you'll have a chance to question them...good luck. You might even get an answer. Again, good luck.

I was reminded in a cartoon from 1934 today, that if we forget history, there's a good chance we'll repeat it.

Come on 2010.

Recycling vs Obamacare

I was sitting around the coffee shop at breakfast this morning, and of course the subject turned to HO's healthcare reform plan. We discussed how we had all become terrorist, and started comparing income received from the insurance companies and the various radio talk shows. Funny thing...nobody remembered having deposited any checks.

Then the conversation turned to a little more sobering thought...how many of us would not be around there, if HO's plan had been enacted as little as a year ago.

One older gentleman, late sixties, had a heart transplant about two years ago...no way he would have had the operation under HO's plan. Another, early sixties, went in for a "simple" cancer operation, and five or six operations later, he is still surviving. Not back to his old self, but close. Again, he would not have had he first operation...too old. I have a friend who just had a five valve bypass done. He's mid sixties, and wouldn't have had a prayer under HO's plan.

All total, we came up with six friends who would probably be gone by now had HO's healthcare reform plan been in place.

I started this talking about recycling. My friend who got the heart--now, that's major recycling. What got me started on recycling though, was dinner. I took something from the freezer for dinner, that was wrapped in foil. I decided to save the foil because it was in good shape.

That reminded me of my mother, and how she recycled. Remember aluminum tinsel on Christmas trees? I don't think it's widely used now, but we used to use it every year. Called it ice cycles. Well, my mom used to remove it from the tree, so she could reuse it the following year. That was years ago. But then, we became a throw away society. Trouble is, looks like we're about to start throwing out moms and dads and uncles and aunts. Such a shame.

Now, I want to recycle an e-mail I received today. It was written by the doctor who's name is on it, and I think it's a home run. I hope you take time to read it, and maybe pass it on to your friends...anybody you think worth recycling.

And then, recycle congress in 2010 and in 2012, HO. On second thought. Let's not recycle him. Let's just send him to the trash dump!

Here's the e-mail:(I noticed that when I reviewed this post, none of Dr. Janda's hi-lights were included. You may want to visit his website shown at the end to get the highlighted version. Actually, that was most of the letter. I did hilight some of it with bf.)

To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.

As a physician who has authored books on preventative health care, I was given the opportunity to be the keynote speaker at a Congressional Dinner at The Capitol Building in Washington last Friday (7/17).

The presentation was entitled Health Care Reform, The Power & Profit of Prevention, and I was gratified that it was well received.

In preparation for the presentation, I read the latest version of "reform" as authored by The Obama Administration and supported by Speaker Pelosi and Senator Reid. Here is the link to the 1,018 page document:
http://edlabor.house.gov/documents/111/pdf/publications/AAHCA-BillText-071409.pdf ;

Let me summarize just a few salient points of the above plan. First, however, it should be clear that the same warning notice must be placed on The ObamaCare Plan as on a pack of cigarettes: Consuming this product will be hazardous to your health.

The underlying method of cutting costs throughout the plan is based on rationing and denying care. There is no focus on preventing health care need whatever. The plan's method is the most inhumane and unethical approach to cutting costs I can imagine as a physician.

The rationing of care is implemented through The National Health Care Board, according to the plan. This illustrious Board "will approve or reject treatment for patients based on the cost per treatment divided by the number of years the patient will benefit from the treatment."

Translation.....if you are over 65 or have been recently diagnosed as having an advanced form of cardiac disease or aggressive cancer.....dream on if you think you will get treated.....pick out your coffin.

Oh, you say this could never happen? Sorry.... this is the same model they use in Britain.

The plan mandates that there will be little or no advanced treatments to be available in the future. It creates The Federal Coordinating Council For Comparative Effectiveness Research, the purpose of which is "to slow the development of new medications and technologies in order to reduce costs." Yes, this is to be the law.

The plan also outlines that doctors and hospitals will be overseen and reviewed by The National Coordinator For Health Information and Technology
.

This " coordinator" will "monitor treatments being delivered to make sure doctors and hospitals are strictly following government guidelines that are deemed appropriate." It goes on to say....."Doctors and hospitals not adhering to guidelines will face penalties."

According to those in Congress, penalties could include large six figure financial fines and possible imprisonment.

So according to The ObamaCare Plan....if your doctor saves your life you might have to go to the prison to see your doctor for follow -up appointments. I believe this is the same model Stalin used in the former Soviet Union.

Section 102 has the Orwellian title, "Protecting the Choice to Keep Current Coverage." What this section really mandates is that it is illegal to keep your private insurance if your status changes - e.g., if you lose or change your job, retire from your job and become a senior, graduate from college and get your first job. Yes, illegal.

When Mr. Obama hosted a conference call with bloggers urging them to pressure Congress to pass his health plan as soon as possible, a blogger from Maine referenced an Investors Business Daily article that claimed Section 102 of the House health legislation would outlaw private insurance.

He asked: "Is this true? Will people be able to keep their insurance and will insurers be able to write new policies even though H.R. 3200 is passed?" Mr. Obama replied: "You know, I have to say that I am not familiar with the provision you are talking about."

Then there is Section 1233 of The ObamaCare Plan, devoted to "Advanced Care Planning." After each American turns 65 years of age they have to go to a mandated counseling program that is designed to end life sooner.

This session is to occur every 5 years unless the person has developed a chronic illness then it must be done every year. The topics in this session will include, "how to decline hydration, nutrition and how to initiate hospice care." It is no wonder The Obama Administration does not like my emphasis on Prevention. For Mr. Obama, prevention is the "enemy" as people would live longer.

I rest my case. The ObamaCare Plan is hazardous to the health of every American.

After I finished my Capitol Hill presentation, I was asked by a Congressman in the question-answer session: "I'll be doing a number of network interviews on the Obama Health Care Plan. If I am asked what is the one word to describe the plan what should I answer."

The answer is simple, honest, direct, analytical, sad but truthful. I told him that one word is FASCIST.

Then I added, "I hope you'll have the courage to use that word, Congressman. No other word is more appropriate."

HO's At it again

I have more Jewish friends, than black friends...and HO certainly isn't one.

I was unaware of Mary Robinson, till I saw an article on Newsmax.com about the fact that HO is planning to award her the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Very interesting article, and I recommend it to all. Basically, it went into the background of Ms. Robinson, and how she has been a human rights advocate, not to mention president of Ireland.

So, not only is HO going around the world apologizing for the US, (he's in Mexico this weekend, meeting with some good friends of his)he is now giving an award to someone who led a conference that the US walked out of.

According to the Newsmax.com article, Robinson was the secretary general of the 2001 Conference against "Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance in Durban, South Africa."

Apparently, she was one of the people responsible for the conference turning into an Israel-bash.

Matt Brooks, Executive Director of the Republican Jewish Coalition is, of course, against Robinson receiving the award, with good reason. Aside from the obvious, he said "awarding the Medal of Freedom to Mary Robinson does great dishonor to the many outstanding men and women who have received it in the past."

Even Colin Powell, at the time of the conference spoke out against the anti-Israeli stance it presented. The Newsmax.com article ended by noting that the RJC statement pointed out: "that in April 2002, Robinson's U.N. commission voted to condone suicide bombings as a legitimate means to establish a Palestinian state."

Changing the subject, I wonder if HO is in Mexico trying to get advice on getting his health care takeover passed? Wouldn't be surprised.

I personally haven't been accosted by any ACORN goons or anyone from the which ever union it is raising hell at some of the townhall meetings. I guess there's still time.

Vote for real change, next time.

Come on 2010.

Health care Tea Party

Attended a local Tea Party on health care reform yesterday. The main speaker, really, the only speaker, was my congressman Jack Kingston. Jack's a nice guy, but he's still a politician, trying to stay in office. He drew a huge crowd...overflow, and people were standing elbow to elbow.

I arrived late, in other words, on time. By that time, the place was running over. From where I stood, it was difficult to hear what he had to say. I knew he would talk about how the good guys (republicans)wanted to pass something different and better from the bad guys (dems). That's a given. I'm pretty sure, most of us attending, didn't want anybody to pass anything, except perhaps, some Tort reform. That's why I went. I wanted to ask about that. Not being able to hear, and not wanting to bully my way to the front, I left about half way into the talk. I could read about it in the paper, the following (this)morning. Wrong.

Not one word in the local paper. I did run into a friend who stayed for the whole show. He said, far as he knew, nothing was said about Tort reform. He said there was a mention of the cost of malpractice insurance being about one-third the cost of medical care.

That's a lot. Seems to me, enough to warrant some action. But, I guess the trial lawyers lobby is pretty strong.

Oh, and what a surprise. I found out today, that the reason I was even at the talk, was because the big, bad insurance companies had coerced me to attend and be loud and unruly. HMMM. And--I may be getting a check for showing up, too. Uh huh.

I guess that just because that's the way they work, the dems think everybody else does the same. Oh, well.

Did you see or hear the commercial the dems were running today? I just hope the candidates supporting HO's healthcare plan believe it...I also hope a lot of them are up for re-election in 2010.

I hope you will join with me in sending them packing.
