Who? B. Hussein Obama. Current occupant of the office of president of the United States.
I found it interesting that FOX News went out and tried to find someone who remembered HO from their days at Columbia. Seems they interviewed 400 or so folks who were there the same time HO was supposed to have been there. Trouble is, no one seems to be able to remember having seen him, known him, or even having heard of his being there--at the time. That includes Wayne Allyn Root, who graduated from Columbia in 1983, the same year HO claims to have finished there. And, Root was also in the school of law there. I bet I know what happened. HO wasn't there.
Root, btw, is a Libertarian talk show host, author and was Bob Barr's vice presidential candidate in the most recent election. His latest book is "The Conscience of a Libertarian."
Back to HO, who wasn't born in Hawaii. If he had been, born in HI, that is, why the blazes has his team of lawyers spent a million dollars keeping his records (including education records)a secret? Yeah, yeah--I know. Birther! Damned right. I and too many people I know have had to retrieve copies of birth certificates. It is really EASY to do...no big deal.
I would say I'm surprised no one has called for his impeachment, but our so-called Republican conservative representatives are just a bunch of wimps, trying to figure a way to keep their sorry asses in office. If just one of them had any gonads, h/she would be trying to do the right thing, and make HO produce a BC, or get out of Dodge. And while we've been focusing on his healthScare scam, I wonder what's going on with cap and tax.
According to an article on the Heritage Foundation, cap and tax will cost the average family of four almost $3000 a year in higher energy costs. The Heritage Foundation analysis also found that 2.5 million jobs will be lost to the greenies by 2035, and I bet there will be more. I keep going back to how bad it's been for Spain going green, the past eight years.
Besides the loss of jobs, the Heritage Foundation analysis also estimates a cumulative loss of $9.4 Trillion in GPD by the same 2035. And that was TRILLION. According to the article, Waxman-Markey, the authors of cap and tax, wanted to know if Heritage would answer some questions as to how they conducted their analysis. Of course, the Heritage Foundation was glad to comply: "Reps. Waxman and Markey sent us, and a number of other institutions, a letter asking us to answer 33 methodological questions about the analytical techniques used in our study. We were delighted by Waxman and Markey’s letter since it is just the kind of thoughtful investigative work our lawmakers should do more often. For example, they asked if our model took into account an increase in private sector investments in research and development that would be sparked by the legislation and a new carbon market. Answer: It did. Our model incorporates both short and long-run responses to higher energy prices.
Waxman also asked if our model quantified any benefits of avoided climate change. Answer: It didn’t. Because according to estimates based on IPCC data, the Waxman-Markey bill would only impact global temperatures by .044 degrees C (about .09 degrees F) by 2050. There simply are no economic benefits from such a minuscule impact."
Not something Waxman or Markey wanted to see, I'm sure. If you haven't visited the Heritage Foundation's website, you're missing a treat. With their help, and that of other conservative organizations, we'll be able to take back our country.
Come on 2010. There's still hope.

Heads-a-spinning
I can't believe how painful it can be to read my daily mail. From Net Neutrality to cap and tax, to healthScare, to birth certificates, to education...where will it all end, if ever?
I have been against the concept of so-called net neutrality from the get-go. I figured it was just another way for the government to take over the internet, to control it, to tax it, and ultimately, to destroy it. Now, I know that sounds a bit strong, but if it can be taxed, and isn't, the fed's out there trying to figure a way to do so. And once they get a nose under the flap, it's all over. Take the department of energy, for instance. How's that worked out for us? I copied this handy little quote from Andrew Jay Schwartzman, president and CEO of Media Access Project, a media reform and digital rights group, regarding Net Neutrality: "This is a down payment on creating a digital democracy."...my emphasis. Then I see John McCain has come out against Net Neutrality, too. Well, that just blew my mind. Can't believe McCain is on my side, for a change. Either that, or I'm missing something.
Now, I understand HO declared an emergency this weekend, because of the H1N1 virus. This gives the feds, under Sebelius, authority to bypass any rules, laws and/or regulations, regarding implementing and getting this new vaccine to market. I saw this on Dr. Joe Mercola's website. There was also news of how CBS, if you can believe this, did an investigative report on the swine flu outbreak, and according to the CBS report, which took about three months to compile, and that was without any help from the CDC, downright debunks the need for any emergency. Apparently, there have not been 1000 deaths caused by H1N1. And, according to Dr. Mercola, even that would be no reason to declare an emergency. He said hospital-acquired infections kill 90,000 people in the US every year, and no body has declared an emergency for that. Because there's not a vaccine being developed that big pharma can make $7 billion on. Just more scare tactics from HO and the WH.
Hey. How about that Doug Hoffman? NY 23. Go Doug.
Come on 2010.

China?s 60th anniversary National Day
China?s 60th anniversary National Day

Hi, folks. This is just a quick note to credit this video. I saw it on our favorite computer guru's site...Kim Komando, the Digital Goddess.
It was interesting how much the military was displayed in the parade, and of course, as you can see, there was no shortage of personnel. Also, briefly, toward the end of the film, there seemed to be some martial arts movements by several white-clad men. All in all, interesting.
Kim shows all kinds of uses for the computer. This is just one of them, of course.

What's a Scozzafava?
Certainly not a conservative Republican...or anything close. According to Michelle Malkin's article on GOPUSA.com at any rate. She is one Michelle I really love.
Seems the 23rd congressional district of New York is looking for new representation, since the most recent occupant of that office was moved to the office of Secretary of the Army. That's reassuring in its own right.
The worst part of the whole thing, is Dede Scozzafava is getting the backing of the establishment GOP. I would have thought they would at least have given their support to a real conservative. But that just goes to show the arrogance of political hucksters, be they dems or republicans.
According to Ms. Malkin's article, Scozzafava is a huge supporter of ACORN, as well as a close ally of ACORN, something called WFP, the "Working Families Party", another socialist group. Apparently, Scozzafava favors abortion rights, and gay marriage, not to mention higher taxes, which is fine. But she should be running as a leftwing socialist, not a moderate Republican. I don't believe in moderate anything...Republican or Dem. If you can't make up your mind to be one or the other, why the hell bother? Also, her husband is a big union leader, and supporter of the "card-check" plan being pushed. She supports that as well, and if it passes, the dems will be able to write their own checks. They pretty much can do that anyway. Fact of the matter is, nobody up there can resist spending our money...till it runs out. And right now, that doesn't seem to be far away...the running out of our money, that is.
Ms. Malkin did go on to mention that a group backed by Fred Thompson is supporting Doug Hoffman, Conservative Party candidate for the same seat. Something called "The Club for Growth" is also behind Hoffman. I don't know if that's the same as Fred Thompson.
That whole scene leads me to believe the Republicans have learned nothing from the past, including the Tea Parties of the summer, and the march of 9/12. Almost two million people, and they seem to have forgotten already, or just don't give a damn.
The people of New York's 23rd district have a chance to show the establishment who's boss. I sure hope they show up and vote.
Come on 2010.
Don't miss a chance to Clean House!

Nobility of the Nobel
No one could have been more surprised than I, upon hearing that HO had been awarded the Nobel Prize for Peace.
Of course, I first heard of it at the coffee shop, and when my friend started telling the story, early Friday morning, I sat there looking at him, waiting for the punch line. Seriously. I thought he was telling a joke. Unfortunately, you know the rest of the story.
However, it didn't take me long to recover. I thought about some of the other recipients, and actually started to feel much better. I began to see that the nobility, if indeed it ever existed, of the Nobel Peace Prize, had eroded over the years. Seems to me, it's become just another piece of hollywood glitteratzi.
The money associated with it would be handy, but when you hold the most powerful office in the world, what's a million bucks? Certainly, nothing to stimulate the economy...of the nation, at any rate. Would certainly stimulate mine.
As you probably know by now, the senate finance committee passed the healthScare bill today. I noted in reading about it, that they claim to be cutting the costs, and project (today)an $829 billion budget for the first ten years. NO WAY. When has the government ever been right on a budget? Take medicare for instance. And, BTW, I noted they're saying now, that they plan to cover MOST Americans. They've already abandoned ALL Americans, and they haven't even finished voting yet.
Take anything they've ever had a hand in. The government is always late, always over-priced, and always lying. We should know that by now. The government creates one thing...chaos and debt. Okay. That's two things. With the able assistance of the greenies and labor unions, the government is going to drive this country into oblivion, if we stand by and let them.
Right now, we still have a slim chance of hanging on. Every able bodied, and able minded person out there needs to be calling, writing and e-mailing their senators and representatives, demanding they vote down this disastrous bill floating through the house...or rather, being rammed through the house, and down our throats.
Eighteen or nineteen years ago, I heard Clinton talking. I knew he would be a disaster. I heard snippets of HO's talk at the democrat convention, and I knew he would be their next candidate. Yeah, yeah. Why am I not out there winning lotteries and picking winners every weekend? Well, I just had a feeling. I didn't really think we were dense enough to elect HO, but I was wrong. White guilt and uneducated youth, plus only half a team for the Republican ticket, ushered him right in. Lack of experience made no difference. Associations with terrorists meant nothing. Lack of citizenship meant and still means nothing. Call me a birther, but why has the SOB spent a million bucks keeping his BC hidden?
Friend of mine recently needed a copy of his birth certificate. Took him a few days to receive it, after paying a nominal fee, and sending a copy of his license. You know what I'm saying.
I had to look up the spelling of "nineteen" while ago. It just didn't look right. When I looked in my trusty OED, it opened up right to Nobel Prize. Really. The next word after that, in my copy of the OED, was nobility. Of course, I thought that was a bit serendipitous.
Kick the bums out.
Come on 2010. Let's get started.

Guns and rights.

Don't know if it worked, but I just tried to link to frontsight.com, a gun safety training organization you probably have heard of. The reason for the link, is they were just refused permission by Premier Radio, syndicator of Rush, Glen and Sean. They agreed to take the Millionaire Patriot's money for the commercial, they just wouldn't let him use the word "Gun" in it. "Gift" was okay, but not Gun.
Wonder what they're afraid of. When and if the feds, more likely, when, try to silence talk radio, who do they think will be coming to their aid? Certainly not the bleeding heart libs of the left. And, if talk radio is silenced, they will be the ones losing revenue. Hopefully, we will be able to communicate with our favorite host via internet, unless 'net neutrality' is part of the shut-up-talk-radio move. It probably will be.
If you haven't seen or heard of this, check it out, and see what you can do to help. Unfortunately, the US seems to be heading the way of the gooney bird...letting this happen will only make the demise quicker. Don't stand by without a fight.
Speaking of fight--this morning at the coffee shop, we had someone come in wearing a tee shirt with 'Security Force' on the back--black on yellow. My first thought was ACORN. I answered a question the barista had asked me before he came in, and got a stare down from the security dude, since he was between me and said barista. I'm a conservative, but I've never been accused of being a compassionate conservative...I didn't flinch, and he didn't look back. He was way out-numbered, any way. And, so far as I know, ACORN doesn't have anything going on locally...nor is there anything I think they might be involved with.
Oh, well. Fun times.
Come on 2010. Let's start taking back our country.
