White House to push ACORN pet project

This is a link to a very interesting article I found in my mail box from The Patriot website.  Hope you take a minute or two to read it.

White House to push ACORN pet project

And, for what it's worth, HO was in town today.  I stayed as far away as possible, and hoped for worse weather.  After I thought it was all over, I drove down to my second favorite grocer--The Fresh Market-- for the makings for tonight's dinner.

Turns out the Market is near the vo-tech school where HO spoke.  I shouldn't have been surprised by the way people parked down there.  I just hadn't thought about it.  After using all the available legal spots, they just started stopping and parking any where they liked.  Savannah's about 65% black so we're pretty used to that, anyway.  Just not quite so much.

I heard a blurb of what I suppose was his speech, where he was talking about how he now wants cap and tax to be passed so that we can become more "green."  Right!  I have yet to see ANY proof of ANY where that's been able to go green with anything resembling a profit, or even a break-even operation.

The one that always comes to mind is Spain.  They've been at for about nine years now.  They've lost thousands of jobs and are about to go bankrupt.  That's what HO would like to see happen here.  If he gets another chance, (second term), that's what will happen.  I hope we wake up before it's too late.

Come on November!

BTW, my favorite grocer--Brighter Day Natural Foods.
